In my previous blog post: Prov·i·dence in the Midst of Cha·os I wrote about my last few weeks of learning who God is through my pain. The following photographs are incredibly important to me not only because of the fantastic people I had the opportunity to meet and come to know; but also because these photographs mark the time that I began learning, in depth, God’s provident and heedful heart for His children.
I began this time with photographing an incredibly beautiful and fun-loving bride, Michelle and her equally as great groom, Jacob. What an honor it was to photograph their special day, as well as get to know them and the fun story that led to this important day in their lives. I am beyond excited for their life together and I pray for continual blessing on them as they walk through life together. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful wedding, Michelle and Jacob!! The following photographs are only four of my many favorites.
Afterwards, I had the opportunity to attend the Garden of the Gods Photo Walk (local creatives gathered to explore and photograph together). What a blessed opportunity it was to meet new friends (and pups) and have the chance to photograph with such genuine, creative, and talented people. I haven’t had the chance to go through all of my photos yet, but these are a few of my many favorites! I posted another on my flickr site.
After meeting new friends, I was able to drive home and visit with some familiar friends I call family. I wasn’t able to spend Father’s day with my dad, so the week after I drove down and we had our usual coffee date :). Goodness, do I love that man; I thank God every day for leading my dad to my mom and I (and vice versa). God has used him in my life to bring out an adventurous, risk-taking, fun-loving (such as laughing at ma and her silliness), traveling, and God-fearing part of me! He is strong, generous, and selfless; who wouldn’t want a coffee date with a spectacular man like that?! Our coffee dates together are one of the highlights of my life.
I ended the weekend learning more about God’s providence and His protective hand upon my life. I cannot thank Him enough for the ability to capture and share special moments. Thank you for reading and viewing!
